AVEVA Model Management is a suite of four applications, giving AVEVA PDMS extended capabilities for managing work processes, reporting status, clash checking and producing deliverables.
Model Object Manager This manages the progress, status and attributes of plant objects in PDMS, tracking and reporting on them through the entire project cycle. Deliverable Manager This is for producing and controlling deliverables [isometrics, equipment drawings etc.] Deliverables can only be created when an object has reached a defined status of design maturity. Functions are included to add notes and diagrams that are retained when the drawings are updated.		Connectivity Manager This allows the 3D PDMS model to be populated directly from VPE P&ID data and provides graphical comparison of equipment, piping and instrument data between VPE P&IDs and the 3D design. Clash Manager This extends the design clash capability of PDMS. It provides comprehensive recording, trend analysis, identification, management and the resolution of clashes through an approval mechanism.

Object-based Each individual design object can be made a 'controlled item' against which status and progress can be tracked. Visibility of progress Accurate progress, status and quality reports can be generated at any time.		Robust control Conditions and controls can be applied to ensure that objects' status are updated with the correct authority. For example, drawing production can be controlled to require achievement of certain design or quality criteria.
