AVEVA NET Modeller

This is the administration tool for defining and maintaining the information managed by AVEVA NET. To cater for complex product structures and sophisticated work processes, NET Modeller allows:

• An unlimited set of object classes and associations
• Any required data structure
• Complex inter-relationships between the various components, structures, processes and resources
• Consolidation and cross-referencing of information
  from multiple sources

AVEVA NET Modeller includes intuitive tools for rapid and repeatable implementation of AVEVA NET solutions. Data models can be easily redefined or extended at any time.

AVEVA NET Solution Modules

Solution Modules 'plug in' to the AVEVA NET environment to provide advanced tools for managing specific activities, their deliverables and resources.

These Modules offer considerable operational flexibility. They may be used as either a total or a partial solution alongside other in-house or third-party software. The developer toolkit, AVEVA NET Studio, allows individual components to be modified and a Solution Module customised to meet the user’s specific needs.

AVEVA NET Dashboard

This is a customisable, browser-based workspace which allows all users acess to the information they need. NET Dashboard lets you configure how information is arranged and presented, select the tools for handling information, and manage real-time collaboration between users.
Dashboard includes the following basic application components:

• Enterprise Explorer
  The principal tool for organising and navigating data.
• Content Explorer
  A secondary navigation aid displaying categorised links to object information.
• Content Viewer
  This hosts data entry screens, project documents and specific applications, giving access to an unlimited number of items. It also interacts with standard Microsoft Office products such as Excel and Word.
• Enterprise Search
  A powerful facility allowing searching by single or combined criteria, saving and reuse of searches, and user access control.
• Work Exchange
  This gives users access to personal tasks and messages generated by the system and to check the progress of any associated actions.

AVEVA NET Dashboard lets users customise their workspace to suit their needs and preferences. All user interface components can be configured to use the local language.

AVEVA NET Gateways

These interfaces allow information to be read from, written into, or registered in the AVEVA NET database. Gateways range from simple XML-based data publishing to dynamic peer-to-peer transactions. They often use advanced data processing to handle information and derive additional 'intelligence'.

To ensure the quality, integrity and availability of information, Gateways apply robust data security and record all transaction details. Data import or extraction processes can validate and authorise the data before allowing the transaction.

AVEVA has created Gateways to connect our own applications, and popular third-party ones, to AVEVA NET. And for complete flexibility, the developer's toolkit, AVEVA NET Studio, allows the construction of custom Gateways.
